Representing China, Liu Ce began his combat sports journey as a Sanda specialist and accomplished kickboxer. He secured the 2023 K-1 Cruiserweight championship and won the K-1 30th Anniversary Openweight Tournament before transitioning into mixed martial arts. Training out of the Tangshan Buntai Riding Fight Club and CFP, the orthodox fighter utilizes a striking-centric approach tailored to his background in kickboxing. During his initial stint in the UFC, he earned a Fight of the Night bonus for his performance inside the cage.

Entering his upcoming bout, Liu holds a professional mixed martial arts record of three wins and one loss. His most recent appearance occurred on May 23, 2026, where he defeated Igor Barabanov via technical knockout. Before that victory, he suffered a technical knockout loss to Ivan Gnizditskiy in October 2024. Prior to that setback, he secured consecutive knockout wins against Batjargal Munkh-Erdene and Yu Haiming throughout 2023.
